Miswak is a natural teeth-cleaning stick made from the Salvadora persica tree. It has been used for centuries as a natural alternative to conventional toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Miswak is a natural plant product, and its scent comes from the natural compounds in the wood. A stronger smell is normal and often a sign that the miswak is fresh.

Rinse or soak the miswak stick with water before use, trim a small amount from the end of the tip, and allow it to air dry between uses. The scent usually becomes milder after the first few uses.

Cut or peel a small amount from one end of the stick, and soak if needed. Chew gently until the fibres separate, then brush your teeth using gentle vertical strokes. Rinse the tip after use and allow it to dry.

With regular use, one miswak stick typically lasts 1–2 weeks, depending on how often it’s used and how frequently the tip is trimmed.

Miswak can be used on its own, as it naturally contains cleansing and antibacterial properties. Some people also choose to use it alongside toothpaste - both options are fine.

Yes. Miswak is safe for daily use when used gently. If you have sensitive gums or dental concerns, consult your dentist before use.

UK orders are typically delivered within 2–5 business days after dispatch. 

For hygiene reasons, opened or used miswak sticks cannot be returned. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
